Publisher's description of HammerHead Rhythm Station
Aimed at the dance scene, HammerHead is a simple software drum machine similar to the Roland TR-909. You can use it to create techno loops and jungle patterns, and record your actions to a high-quality, noise-free WAV or RAW file for use with your sampler or sequencer. It includes 23 separate drum patches and six complete loops, plus a feature to implement banks with six samples of your own, making a total of 35 samples that can be used at one time. HammerHead also features adjustments for tempo, shuffle, feedback, and distortion, as well as the ability to export drum loops by measure or by entire session.

Version: HammerHead Rhythm Station 1.0
"Easy for beginner but too simple"
Pros: Just take me seconds to familiarise interface...its pre-default with maximum 6 channels that which i think more than enough to mix some funky sounds. Its only have 4 obvious functions; Tempo, Shuffle, Sound Measures and Distortion Feedback but u have more soundloop options on each channel all shows on one main interface with no extra options...the thing that make this program easiest. Also u can open pre-installed sample sound for u to have some idea to start with.
If you head-to-head this program with FruityLoop, the program im use for years it way too many functions missing like the ability to filter each channel with flanger, phaser or at least reverbration. So i think this too simple programs created for hobby-soundsmaker or a web designer who need simple sound to add on.

"Easy to use, can save in wav format. Useful tool!"
Pros: It's quick and intuitive to use, you can make some impressive sounding drum loops just by trial and error point-n-clicking. You can change bpm, distort and save existing samples to create totally new sounds.
Cons: Being able to save in mp3 format would be nice but it's easy enough to convert with other software.

Version: HammerHead Rhythm Station 1.0
Pros: This is an amazingly realistic drum simulator. even if theres an open hi-hat then a closed hi-hat right after, you can actually hear the hi-hat close. its incredible. very easy to use, easy to save and record, some great pre-recorded beats for you, and even exports your own totally customable drum licks or beats to a .wav file. amazing. best ever.
Cons: n.o.n.e
